Download the installer from the Download page, open it and follow the steps. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", choose More info, then Run anyway.

The app is free. AI providers such as OpenAI or Google charge for their keys, and each has its own free allowance. Ollama is completely free and runs on your PC.

No. An account is only needed for phone control and syncing between devices.

Open Settings, then AI models. Press Get key on a provider, paste the key, then press Check. When the tag turns green, the key works. Leave the model on Automatic, or pick one.

• Make sure you copied the whole key, with no spaces at the start or end
• Check that your account with the provider has credit or a free allowance
• Some providers take a minute to activate new keys

Tick Ollama during install, or get it from ollama.com. In Venus, open Settings, then AI models, then Ollama, and press Download on a model such as llama3.2.

"Venus", "Hey Venus", "Okay Venus", "Hi Venus", "Hello Venus", "Good morning Venus" and similar phrases. Venus also understands when the name is misheard as "Venice".

• Settings, then Voice: make sure "Isolate my voice" is on
• Check the microphone in Windows Sound settings
• For the clearest transcription, add an OpenAI or Groq key
• Use Ctrl+Alt+Space to talk without a wake word

Yes. Settings, then Voice. Pick a system voice, an ElevenLabs voice (needs a key), or design your own by changing pitch, speed and tone.

Pictures need an OpenAI, Gemini or OpenRouter key. Open Create; if a banner says "Add a key", press it.

Videos need a Gemini key with video access. They can take a minute or two.

Sign in on the PC (Settings, then Account), turn on Remote control, then open venusai.nezilio.com/app on your phone and sign in with the same account.

Both devices need internet. Some work, school or hotel networks block direct connections, so try mobile data instead. Quick commands still work.

Only your own account can see your devices. The PC asks before every session unless you turn on unattended access. Press Stop on the PC banner at any time.

Go to Your account, or in the app go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Your cloud data is removed.

See the Privacy policy. Nothing is collected until you choose to share it.

Press the camera button in the chat box and Venus takes one picture and looks at it, or ask in chat or by voice: "Look at my camera and tell me what you see". For a continuous view, turn on Live camera in the chat box; she looks every few seconds until you stop. The camera light goes out as soon as a one-off look finishes.

No. Only the frame you ask about is sent, to the AI provider you chose. Frames are never saved in your gallery, and nothing goes to us. Live camera stops when you turn it off or close the chat.

Open Settings, then Finger drag, and switch on "Use my hand as the mouse". Hold your hand up, palm to the camera, about half a metre away. Point to move, pinch to click or drag, two fingers to scroll, and open your palm or make a fist to pause.

• Keep your hand in the frame and your palm facing the camera
• Use even lighting; a bright window behind you makes tracking harder
• Pause with an open palm, then point to take control again
• If it still feels off, stop and start finger drag from Settings

It stops when you turn the setting off, say "stop finger drag", lock Venus, or when the camera is taken by another app. A held drag is released safely, so nothing stays stuck.

Not with a ready-made installer yet. Developers can build it from the source code with Go 1.26 and Wails: wails build -platform darwin/universal. Some Windows-only features, such as global shortcuts and screen control, are limited on macOS.

Venus checks for updates every six hours. When one is ready she asks you, downloads it, checks its digital signature and installs it. Turn this off in Settings, then Updates.
